Our Story: The Zebra Lake Care Journey
Zebra Lake Care was founded by Dr. Rebecca Chamoto and Dr. Chioneso Mafunga in response to the urgent need for high-quality staffing solutions within the health and social care sectors. With extensive experience in the NHS, they recognised the challenges healthcare providers face when staffing levels drop.
Understanding the Need
Throughout their careers, Dr. Chamoto and Dr. Mafunga encountered healthcare providers struggling with staffing shortages, which often impacted patient care. This critical gap inspired them to establish Zebra Lake Care, focusing exclusively on supplying skilled staff to health and social care providers. Recognising that the transition from hospital to home can be daunting and often requires robust support systems for safety and well-being, they also chose to offer home care services to local communities.
Commitment to Quality Staffing
With over 25 years of experience in the NHS, Dr. Chamoto recognised the necessity for a staffing agency dedicated to providing high-quality professionals. Zebra Lake Care bridges this gap by supplying qualified staff to hospitals, residential care facilities, and community organisations. While we do not provide direct care services ourselves, our mission is to empower healthcare providers by supplying them with the skilled personnel they need to deliver exceptional care.
Rigorous Recruitment Process
To ensure we provide only the most qualified staff, every team member undergoes a comprehensive recruitment process that includes:
Candidates are selected based on their commitment to our fundamental care principles.
Thorough background checks ensure safety and reliability.
We assess whether we would feel comfortable placing our own loved ones in the care of prospective staff members.
Our goal is to deliver quality staffing solutions, ensuring Zebra Lake Care achieves outstanding ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and sets a benchmark for other providers in the health and social care sector by supporting them to fulfil “Regulation 18: Staffing” and “Regulation 19: Fit and Proper Persons Employed” of the Health and Social Care Act 2018 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
